TLP 183 Fight Strong Live Long Matt Reynolds

Welcome to a New Year and to a new episode of the Nordic Components Talking Lead Show; TLP 183 Fight Strong Live Long Matt Reynolds.  We kick off the new year right by graciously being invited by MFCEO James Yeager to attend Tactical Response’s class “Fighting Strong” instructed by Matt Reynolds.  Matt is the owner of Starting Strength Online Coaching he has nearly 20 years of experience competing in strength sports and coaching barbell-based strength and conditioning. He first totaled “elite” in powerlifting in 2004, won his professional status in the sport of Strongman in 2006, and founded one of the strongest and largest pure-strength gyms in the country, STRONG Gym.  Matt is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through NSCA, and holds his Starting Strength Certification. Since 2010, he traveled throughout the country serving as staff coach with Mark Rippetoe for Starting Seminars. He also has served as an adjunct professor for Exercise Science at Bryan University.

To help Lefty kick-off Talking Lead’s first episode of 2017 off with a bang he teamed up with his buddies Paul and Jared Markel of Student Of The Gun to do a live Facebook broadcast of the show.  Check Student Of The Gun’s Facebook page for the live video coverage edition.  Yeager let us use the Tactical Response Team Room to setup the “Leadquarters” and if that’s not enough #badasseryness for you Yeager himself joined us for the interview along with our good buddies Ben “Mookie” Thomas of Spikes Tactical and frequent guest host Curtis Halstrom of the VSO Gun Channel.  As you can imagine with this much awesomeness in one room Unicorns, Leprechauns, and Sasquatches gather around to gaze in amazement.

FIGHTING STRONG is a 2-day course that teaches the foundation of strength, fitness, nutrition, and health for the martial lifestyle, the mindset needed to be strong, the necessity of strength for the warrior, how to properly perform the squat, deadlift, bench press, and overhead press, as well as how to incorporate bodyweight and conditioning exercises for optimal fitness.

The course is aimed at those who are just starting on their journey to change their lifestyle and bodies physically, though the content provided will be valuable and beneficial for even the most dedicated fitness enthusiast.  The class is infinitely scalable, so if you have physical limitations (bad back, bad knees, etc.), don’t let that deter you from attending. Matt will be able to help anyone and everyone find safe alternatives specific to their needs and injuries.  Go to https://tacticalresponse.com/collections/training/products/fight-strong and sign up for the next class today!
