SOTG is in the process of developing an undergrad program. What are some of the things you would want included?

Training topics? Physical items included? Discounts? etc.

    Prof Paul and TA Jarrad,
Sign me up for the first semester of Undergrad SOTG!

I would like to see a true semester type approach where we focus on one idea. Short semester would probably be better, maybe 4 to 6 weeks long with a lesson each week.

Each lesson should have a ‘lecture’ by Prof Paul, a reading assignment, a practical homework assignment (range work, try a new ccw technique, pack a Bug out Bag, etc).

    As I think out loud:
    Semester 1: Bug Out Bags

    Lesson 1: The Bag
Lecture: Prof Paul discusses types of bags with pros and cons
    Reading: Backpacks for Dummies
Homework: Go to local sporting goods store and try on different packs to see which ones actually fit
    Homework #2:Buy a bag

Lesson 2: Water for the Bag
Lecture: Types of water purification suitable for a BoB
Homework: Pick/buy a water purification system and filter some water

    ETC

I would like a lesson on defending oneself and family in the home. For example:
    Securing the home against intruders.
Where and how firearms should stored in the home.
Pros and Cons of carrying while at home.
Handgun vs. Rifle vs. Shotgun as primary home defense firearm.
How to handle a burglary vs. home invasion.
    … etc.
